December 3, 2016 Way back last summer our place was hit by a small "ribbon" tornado knocking down and twisting trees in our back yard. Today overcast 37 degrees we finished cutting the last of the limbs piling them in a heap and burning them in an attempt to hold off winter's onslaught. In the final gesture of victory I mowed that portion of the yard for the first time since way back last July signaling our intent to wrestle from mother nature's grip; reestablishing human control over a miniscule piece of this planet. It is now 33 degrees out there windy and snow is coming down. V I C T O R Y is ours. |

Glad to hear that you beat Ma Nature at her game. Sorry to hear about the snow. Here, it is supposed to snow for 4 days starting about 11:14 am on Sunday, with temperatures dropping to -12F.

We'd seen the crap moving towards us on the radar. I was a bit more covered on the 425 than JD is on the 445 ! LOL! but don't have many lawn mowing pictures to post. I/we have NEVER mowed the lawn this late in the year and the grass is now covered with snow.

I would have never thought we'd get the south west part cleaned up before the snow.
